Supporting Your Child with Play! Pokémon
Learn about the Pokémon League experience and how it can enrich your child’s development.

Growing with Pokémon
Play! Pokémon events are a fun and safe way for your child to meet new friends, develop critical thinking skills, and work on their math—all while enjoying Pokémon!

Safety at Pokémon Events
Key measures are taken to ensure a safe environment for young children. League locations and Professors are subject to background checks, local tournaments are segmented by age division, and supervising adults will always be present.

Learn at League
Pokémon League is where everything gets started. Take a look at local League descriptions and find one that best suits your child’s interests. Every League can be a little different, but at the end of the day, they all love Pokémon. There will be plenty of opportunities to trade and battle in the Pokémon TCG and—in certain communities—in the Pokémon video games and Pokémon GO too!
Getting Started
Find a League near you for your child, and explore resources to help them prepare for their first session. League is all about learning, so someone will always be ready to give them the lowdown—no matter their experience level.

Find an Event
Use the Event Locator to find out when and where your child can attend their first League session. It’s great if your child already has a deck of their own, but Leagues often have cards for beginners to try out and get started.
