Learn at League

Pokémon League is where everything gets started. Take a look at local League descriptions and find one that best suits your interests—there’s a League out there for everyone! Every League can be a little different, but at the end of the day, they all love Pokémon. There will be plenty of opportunities to trade and battle in the Pokémon TCG and—in certain communities—in the Pokémon video games and Pokémon GO too!

Find Your Local League

Your local Pokémon community is out there—you just have to find them. Use the Event Locator to find a local game store near you and the times and dates they host their League. It’s great if you already have your own deck, but Leagues will often have cards that beginners can use to get started. You’ll even find that most Trainers are eager to lend a helping hand.

Can't find a Pokémon League in the Event Locator? Most local game stores host Pokémon League, so reach out to one near you and ask for details!

Get a Player ID

Once you start attending your local League, you should prioritize getting a Player ID. It helps track your progress and will be key to joining local tournaments in the future. Your local League can help here, or you can do it yourself after a League event.
